Opening up your computer to find something unplugged and having no idea what it is or where it goes. Also going through all the trouble of opening up only to realise you have no spray left.

looks like an HD audio/AC97 connector. It doesn’t need to be plugged in. There are two connectors with slightly different pinouts. It looks like the one is already plugged in, so you don’t need to plug that one in. heres post online about it http://superuser.com/questions/4190…

Its the legacy audio connector for the front panel. Leave it unplugged, the other end is plugged in and thats better.

Not everything in a motherboard is plugged in, some stuff is there so when you get new hardware like a video card or extra hard drive.
